About the Job:

• Typical day is morning report, assigned new admissions, some discharges, medication management, crisis management, rounding on patients.

• Credentialing includes the doctor needing to have physical done there on site, including tox screen AND some online training.

• Temporary Privileges can take about two weeks after all paperwork, then the process for full privileges continues.

• 60 Psych beds

• Will work across 2 Units, 23 beds and 24 beds (11B and 12B) This could change but won’t affect census.

• Goal of 12 days, 14 days is average.

• Adults: 18-55 age

• Census is 8-9 typically can be as high as12 per day per doctor AM Report, Rounding on patients.

• Twice a week 1 hour team meeting required.

• Monday, Wednesday Community meeting with patients not required but encouraged, treatment plans.

• No H&P

• Staffing mix is mds, psychologist, social workers, activity therapists and many nurses.

• EMR is Quadra Med - training is required for a morning PRIOR TO STARTING.

 

Need:

• BC and BE in Psych (five years out of residency only) accepted

9 to 5 Monday to Friday *No weekend call, no night call
